The New York Winter Festival (NYWF) is a Weeklong Celebration of Dance held every year in appreciation of All Dance Styles and Genres offering Classical Ballet and Modern/Contemporary Dance workshops and the opportunity to perform in the heart of New York City. Dance Students, Performers and Dance Schools/Groups interested in enhancing their technique, performing skills, and desiring to receive exposure in New York City, the Dance Capital of the World, are invited to participate.
Participants may choose to partake in the workshop, performance or both.

The classes will be held from Monday, January 6 throughout Friday, January 10, 2020.
Ballet Technique (intermediate/advance level), Female Variations (one daily class: intermediate
/advanced level), and the exclusive opportunity to participate in AjkunBT’s Choreographic Repertory (one daily
class) are offered to all registered participants. Private Coaching (Female or Male Variations and/or Pas de Deux), and
Specialty Classes (groups of 5 participants minimum) in Injury Prevention, Nutrition, Workplace Awareness and Stage
Make Up, may be booked in advance for an additional cost.

The performance will be Saturday, January 11, 2020.
Dancers entering as Solo Performers (Solo/Duet/Trio, maximum dance length 2’ 45”), as part of a Dance School/Group (four to ten dancers, maximum dance length 5’) or both are welcome to submit their own pieces. Dance Schools can register several groups. The showcase, comprised of pieces submitted by participants as well as new works by emerging choreographers performed by participants and professionals, will be a ticketed event, and a panel of media and industry professionals will be invited to attend.
The fee is intended per person, for each piece performed and/or for each participant to the workshop. There is no surcharge if participating in the workshop and performance.
Registration fee is US$65 and participation fee is US$650.00 . Soloists or Groups wishing to perform twice during the evening may do so by contributing an additional $175.00 (for the entire group, regardless of number of dancers).
Participants are responsible for all living arrangements and transportation. Upon request, Ajkun Ballet Theatre provides accepted candidates with a comprehensive listing of hotels, hostels, and student housing organizations.
Candidates of any citizenship are admitted through an Audition, on a first come – first serve basis, to the exhaustion of places available. Dancers participating in Dance Schools/Groups are admitted through a Video Link/DVD Audition; the video shall feature a classical or contemporary/modern dance similar to the one the group intends to present at the NYWF. Dancers participating independently may audition in person or by video (center work or variation). For audition dates and locations or guidelines to submit a DVD to audition,

Participants of our Audition will receive an email with their outcome within the two weeks following the audition. Successful candidates will be thoroughly guided in the registration process.
