AjkunBT’s Trainees represent a distillation of the hopes and aspirations of a substantial number of Dancers
coming from a variety of institutions throughout the United States and from many foreign countries.
Over 1,700 candidates audition every year, resulting in about 10 being accepted as Trainees to the Company.
Each of them predicted, if the past foretells the future,
their special spark will make them become one of the best world-class dancers of tomorrow.
Our Alumni went on to take prominent positions in the professional world and are currently employed
in Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South Americas,
whether by Ajkun Ballet Theatre or AjkunBT's Partners in Dance, a network of over 100 different companies
sharing with us the vision to open the avenues of opportunities for a young generation of dancers.

WALTER BATTISTINI
ARGENTINA
Mr. Battistini began his dance trainingin Mendoza and graduated from The Superior Arts Institute of Colon Theatre (Buenos Aires), both in his native Argentina.
During his studies, Walter was the recipient of scholarships for the Escola de Danca Spinelli (Brazil), and the Escola de Samba do Cubango Carnival (Rio de Janeiro).
Walter joined the Ajkun Ballet Theatre in spring 2010 and has been promoted Company Artist during the season. CONGRATULATIONS!

MARTA CODATO
ITALY
Ms. Codato began her training at Etoile, in her hometown Venezia before furthering her studies at Il Balletto and Step don't Move dance schools.
Marta's performing experience includes a contract with the Company Dreamakers in Padua, Italy. In 2010, Marta was the recipient of the international competition Premio DanzaEuropa, receiving a scholarship for the prestigious Dance in Italy Festival. Marta joins Ajkun Ballet Theatre in 2010.

HAYLEY COLLINS
AUSTRALIA - NSW
Ms. Collins began training in her hometown of Orange before furthering her studies under scholarship at The McDonald College and the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy, both in Sydney. Hayley is the recipient of the McDonald College Ballet Award (2007) and the Bolshoi Ballet Summer School Intensive (2009)
awarded at the Youth America Grand Prix. Hayley joins the Ajkun Ballet Theatre in 2010.

BEATRICE GIUBELLINI
ITALY
Ms. Giubellini trained in her native Brescia before completing her dance education in Milan with ballet master Ludmill Cakalli.
Beatrice participated to AjkunBT's summer intensive Performing in New York in 2007 and 2008 before joining the Company in 2009.
In summer 2009 Beatrice was cast in a soloist role in the ballet Raymonda performing with The National Ballet of Tirana, Albania
at The Opera House and at the Dance in Italy Festival where she returns for the season 2010. |

JENNIFER GRAHNQUIST
USA - TX
Ms. Grahnquist began her training in Dallas (TX) under the guidance of Tanju and Patricia Tuzer and attended the Summer Intensive at the Kirov Academy (DC) and Tulsa Ballet under full scholarship. Jennifer completed her training at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, furthering her performing experience in their Nutcracker's production.
Additional professional experience includes the Metropolitan Classical Ballet. Jennifer joins AjkunBT in 2010.

LOUISA M MANN
USA - VT
Ms. Mann began her training at the Brattleboro School of Dance in Vermont, while attending the Rock School's and Burklyn Ballet Theater's summer intensives.
Louisa's professional experiences includes soloist roles in Cinderella and the Flower Fairies (Edinburgh Fringe Festival/Burklyn Ballet Theater), the Nutcracker (Albany Berkshire Ballet), and Paradise Ballet Company in Key West. Louisa graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BFA in dance prior joining the Ajkun Ballet Theatre in 2010. |

VALERIA MARRARA
ITALY
Ms. Marrara trained at Centro Studio Danza Performing Arts directed by Gabriella Cutrupi in Italy and is currently a graduate student at the University of Dance where she expects to complete a Master in Dance Education. Valeria participated to AjkunBT's intensives Performing in New York and Dance in Italy Festival in 2008 and joined Ajkun Ballet Theatre
as a Trainee to complete her performing preparation in anticipation of her degree.
Valeria traveled to Tirana, Albania, in June 2009 to partake to the ballet Raymonda presented by The National Opera House and National Ballet Company where she returns for the season 2010.

JOANNA PRIWIEZIENCEW
POLAND
Ms. Priwieziencew is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Warsaw (Poland), where she had the opportunity to perform with the National Opera of Warsaw.
Additional performing experience includes St. Petersburg's V Open Dance Festival and the Jungen Choreographen Soiree in Stuttgart, Germany.
Joanna joined AjkunBT in 2009. |

MARIE WILHELM
USA - TX
Ms. Wilhelm began her training in Rio Grande City and furthered her studies at Texas Ballet Theatre School, where she had the privilege of training under Kathy Warakomsky, Tim O’Keefe, Hazel, Sagas-Gower, Anna Donovan and Leticia Oliveira. While at Texas Ballet Theatre, Marie was the recipient of several scholarships, was awarded the Most Dedicated Student Award and enjoyed performing in Ben Stevenson's Nutcracker. |
